MICHAEL J. FINN is a 1983 graduate of Mount Saint Mary’s College where he received his B.S. in biology. He continued his education at the University of Connecticut Graduate School in the Department of Pathobiology, before receiving his J.D. degree in May of 1989 from the Western New England College School of Law. Prior to graduation from law school, he was employed as a microbiologist. Since joining Montstream Law Group, L.L.P. in 1989, he has primarily represented respondents in the area of workers’ compensation defense. He has argued before the Compensation Review Board and the Appellate and Supreme Courts. He has been published in the Connecticut Bar Association’s Compensation Quarterly and has lectured on workers’ compensation issues for the Connecticut Bar Association and Lorman Education Services. Attorney Finn is a member of the American Bar Association, Connecticut Bar Association and the Hartford County Bar association as well as the Defense Research Institute. He became a partner in 1998 and as of 2020 has become Of Counsel with the firm. He is a Board Certified Workers’ Compensation Specialist, a member of the Examining Committee of the Standing Committee on Workers’ Compensation Certification and a member of the Continuing Legal Education Committee of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Connecticut Bar Association.
