JENNIFER A. HOCK rejoined the firm in January 2022, having started her legal career with us in 1991 as a summer law clerk, and in 1992 upon her graduation from law school.  She worked for Montstream Law Group for six years, moving on to other well-known area defense firms, most recently with Pomeranz, Drayton & Stabnick.  Attorney Hock has 30 years of experience representing insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and municipalities in all aspects of workers’ compensation law. She received her bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science from Boston College in 1989 and received her J.D. in 1992 from the University of Connecticut School of Law, where she was the research clerk for Colin Tait on his Handbook of Connecticut Evidence.  She began her practice appearing in civil defense matters in Superior Court and in matters arising under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, and now appears regularly before the Connecticut Workers’ Compensation Commission. She has handled complex matters and appeared before the Compensation Review Board, the Appellate Court, and Supreme Court of the State of Connecticut.  She continues to represent employers in Superior Court in the protection of their subrogation rights in third-party matters.  Attorney Hock is admitted to practice in the State and United States District Court.  She has presented at seminars and training sessions on issues involving workers’ compensation and is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association. She has served in many volunteer roles in her community and is currently the Chairperson on the Historic District Commission of the Town of Wethersfield.
